New Youth & College Director

Rev. Stephen A. Green, newly appointed NAACP Youth and College, National Director Before 2013, Stephen was appointed to serve as the National Youth and College Director for the Empowerment Movement. The Empowerment Movement is a faith-based civil rights organization that is designed to move the African American Community forward in politics, education and economics with the use of Christian principles.

As National Youth Director, Stephen has organized and led marches, most notably leading students on a 40-mile march on Easter Weekend to seek justice for Trayvon Martin. He served as the President of the Morehouse NAACP Chapter. Stephen was a Senior Political Science and Religion Major, Honor Student, Martin Luther King, Jr. International Chapel Assistant, and Student Government Association Officer.

He served as the Youth Minister at New Bethel AME Church, Lithonia, Georgia. Stephen A. Green is embraced by a loving family, his parents, Bishop Samuel L. Green, Sr. and Dr. Ava S.B. Green, and brothers Rev. Samuel L. Green, Jr. and Adam Scott Green.
